 One of Each

AnnouncementLooks like we have one of each on the way. We had our Level 2 ultrasound today and they did a thorough screening of every major bone and feature to make sure that the babies didn't have any defects. Everything checked out perfectly. When they took a look to see what the sex was, there was little doubt that one was a boy. The other one had all the hallmarks of being a girl, and the nurse was pretty sure, taking into account all the factors. So we'll have to see but things look pretty good so far for one of each, which is pretty darn cool.

Sexy new clothing for those suffering from anorexia...

Announcement
Oh boy, you need to check out the FanPants invention web site.

Words just can't describe.....

Ya know, in some Central African cultures this sort of clothing is considered is sexy, and is worn during mating rituals. The men are turned on by women stuffing their backsides with padding and seductively walking around the camp. Could this be the new dress code for hookers on street corners?

Baby got back. Ha!

 Waterfalls Lodge Video

Announcement
Well Don Meissner and I just finished a promotional video for Waterfalls Lodge. They were gracious enough to allow us to use their facilities for testing this past September and we promised to put together a promotional video that they would use at their sport shows. Given the fact that the audio was poor on the tape and some other challenges, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

Here's the link to the video:

 Downtime warning...

AnnouncementJust a warning to say that in the next few days, maybe weeks, I'm going to be bringing the Racenerd.com server down for some hardware and software upgrades. I'm planning on installing Red Hat Linux 7.3 and upgrading to a 20 or 40 gig hard drive. I haven't decided yet. The goal will be to have enough room to put up all the full size images that I want, and allow people to have them printed from the gallery through Shutterfly. I'd also like to get the email for racenerd back up and running and some other internal things going. Other features that I'd like to install are: an SQL based weather engine that will do forecasts and have up to the minute radar for the US enabled and some homebrew recipe software I found just for kicks (not that I brew).

 Welcome

Announcement

Welcome.

This site will be a vehicle to vent some of my views and opinions about the world around me. Some of my rants will be lucid, others may be incoherent. Many will not be popular, especially those views having to do with religion. I have some pretty wide interests, ranging from computer arcitechture, the media, to philosophy, to issues dealing with existentialism and racing, to business matters. These interests may not be understood by all.

This site will always be a work-in-progress, allowing me to test new scripts, keep up with my racing interests and communicate with friends and family.

I generally find that most people either understand my nerd side, or my racing side, but not both. In NASCAR or local racing circles, there is a social stigma about being outwardly intelligent. My work in racing has left a void of intelligent conversation that I enjoyed in college. I crave that conversation. In college, I never knew anyone who fully understood how appealing the sport of racing is. My goal is to blend the topics.

So you think to yourself, 'How does existentialism and NASCAR go together?' Well, in the coming months I'd like to share some of my experiences during my tenure as a crew member and my travels in the racing world.

I invite you to email your comments and link to this site. If I feel your site has merit and covers any of the topics I am interested in, I will set up a link. Intelligence is paramount.
